Terra Basche
Founder and Lead Designer
Terra, Founder and Lead Designer, is an artist who loves to get her hands dirty. Born and raised on the Hawaiian Islands and growing a family in Santa Barbara has inspired her to mimic nature’s beauty wherever possible. With an eye for design, Terra is able to take a challenge and make it an opportunity for those who wish to bring the beauty of the natural world to life within a space. Working with a variety of natural materials and systems allows Terra to design in a myriad of spaces indoors and outdoors, vertically and floor bound. Terra has built an impressive network of artisans and growers who bring stunningly unique elements to each custom project. Because Terra is a believer in sinking resources into environmental education and protection, Lush Elements is a 1% for the Planet member, donating 1% of company revenue each year. Terra Malia Designs is a sister company, whose focus is creating stunning, sustainable and unique designs for events and weddings focused mostly in the Tri-County region.

Sheryl, our all time plant whisperer, is key to the success of our installations. At the heart of maintenance, she has a connection to each and every Lush Elements plant.
Ali Perry
Plant Technician
As a second generation “plant lady” from the Bay Area, Ali uprooted herself to Santa Barbara in 2021, and found herself right at home working with the talented Lush Elements team. The connection between plants and people continues to inspire her to learn and grow.
Sara King
Social Media Manager
Sara King, long time plant enthusiast and mom of two, brings her experience in website and social media management, and content creation to the Lush Elements team.
David Fortson
Chief Marketing Officer
Dave Fortson, Chief Marketing Officer, has a long history in event production, event management and business development. Dave’s focus is on communicating, marketing and building the operational infrastructure for Lush Elements. Dave is also CEO and Founder of LoaTree Inc and its sister company LoaCom, a consulting agency offering strategy, marketing and communications for better world companies and organizations. Dave has been helping ‘grow’ Lush Elements for six years.
Dave is lucky enough to be married to the founder of Lush Elements and be raising two lovely girls with her.
