Winter Greens and Living Things

Recipes and Inspiration

This Winter has been a wet one here on the Central Coast. Our patios and tower gardens are soaking up the rain and the additional moisture has made our indoor plants vibrant with the anticipation of Spring.

In the midst of gray days and moments of sunshine, we have been enjoying tasty snacks from our tower gardens and have been working on an array of projects including a living wall in a glass house. Enjoy the recipe and inspiration below!

A Living Wall Graces the Interior of a Glass House

This 10 foot long living wall can be seen from almost every spot on this unique property due to the extraordinary glass house it now lives in.

A variety of plant species create a flowing design aesthetic that is accentuated by a myriad of colors, textures, and patterns. We use a stacking tray system that makes for seamless installation, easy watering, and holds up to 1 gallon pots so that the wall is lush the moment it goes up. Curious if a living wall could work in your home or office?

A Preserved Rainbow

Lush Wall Design for a Corporate Client

Design inspiration comes at all times of the day or night.

Sometimes we find that it's easiest to get into that state of mind in the evening hours, which is where we find our founder and lead designer, Terra Basche (above), as she creates with a variety of mosses in a colorful, expressive array of colors.

Lush walls are really plant paintings that have a diversity of textures and colors created with preserved mosses, plants and flowers.
